Another reason to love South Florida? Concerts all year round! With three major metro areas, South Florida has concert theaters, amphitheaters, arenas, and stadiums in multiple locations! Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and the West Palm Beach area are great spots to see live music and other events.

Miami Concerts

Fillmore Miami Beach – South Beach

A great small Miami theatre, its also called the Jackie Gleason Theatre. Located by the Miami Beach Convention Center right in the heart of Miami’s South Beach the Fillmore is a convenient location to enjoy Miami before or after a great event.

Hard Rock Stadium – Miami Gardens

Hard Rock Stadium is a massive football stadium that hosts the Miami Dolphins (and formerly the Miami Marlins). Huge stadium shows include Hard Rock on their tour plans like U2 and Metallica. Festivals like the Rolling Loud Festival, Jazz Festivals are annual Hard Rock Stadium events.

Bayside Amphitheater- Miami

Bayside is a rarely used venue, but sometimes bigger bands stop by anyway. Much smaller than iThink amphitheatre, if you’re lucky enough to see Reggae Festivals, Pitbull, and bands like the Counting Crows and Jane’s Addiction at this venue, consider yourself lucky!

FTX Arena (formerly AmericanAirlines Arena)- Miami

The old AmericanAirlines Arena (or as the locals call it, the AAA) home of the Heat, often hosts your favorite artists like Elton John, Guns and Roses, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Ftx Arena is similar to the arena in Fort Lauderdale, FLA live Arena, but a little steeper towards the top.

Ft Lauderdale Concert Venues

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel Casino Hollywood

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood (about 20 minutes from Fort Lauderdale) has become a popular tour stop for music concerts and comedy shows. Recently renovated, both the hotel and theatre are modern. Concert tickets can be tough given the ability to make a weekend of this resort and casino. Seeing top music acts at lower capacity venues like the Hard Rock can be a treat. Catching a Saturday night show makes for a special weekend!

FLA Live Arena (formerly the BB&T Center)- Fort Lauderdale /Sunrise

The FLA Live Arena, home to the Florida Panthers hockey team is a major arena. in suburban Fort Lauderdale. Major concert tours stop at the arena. Live music concerts like Aerosmith, ACDC, and Billy Joel have stopped through Ft Lauderdale in recent years. Other events like the circus and cirque de sol also stop here.

Broward Center – Fort Lauderdale

The Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, typically a broadway show stop, can also host compelling concerts in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Parker Playhouse – Fort Lauderdale

Another smaller venue that hosts solo acts and children shows just north of downtown Ft Lauderdale. The location is hidden off of Federal Highway. Acts vary from Hot Tuna to Jackson Browne, to Clifford the Big Red Dog (for kids)

Culture Room – Fort Lauderdale

The Culture Room is a hot spot in downtown Fort Lauderdale where up and coming artists typically stop or bands not big enough to fill an arena (Blues Traveler for example)

Pompano Beach Amphitheatre – Pompano Beach

Not used as much since Mizner Park in Boca Raton and the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Casino became popular, Pompano Beach Amphitheatre (just north of Fort Lauderdale) is a great small outdoor spot to see a music event.

Revolution/Backyard – Fort Lauderdale

This local outdoor/indoor venue is a more casual venue to see smaller acts and college acts in Fort Lauderdale. Situated by the old Riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale’s downtown entertainment district off near Las Olas.

Palm Beach Area Concert Venues

Delray School Square- Delray Beach

A relatively unknown spot to see a music event, Delray Beach can host artists as varied as Jimmy Buffet, Dickie Betts and more. Located on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, this is also a great place to enjoy a great dinner and entertaining show!

Mizner Park Amphitheater – Boca Raton

As Don Henley called out, enjoying music events amongst the pink buildings of Mizner Park in Boca Raton can be an enjoyable experience. Consume a delicious dinner at the Park and then enjoy an outdoor show at one of the most beautiful South Florida spots. Boca Raton has fine shops and premium dining as well as some unique bars.

iThink Financial Amphitheatre (formerly Cruzan Amphitheatre and Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre and Coral Sky Amphitheatre – Lake Worth- West Palm Beach

South Florida and West Palm Beach’s largest amphitheatre sits on the South Florida Fairgrounds. Major US concert tours stop here. It’s your typical “shed” with seats under cover and a sprawling general admission lawn behind. Artists like Maroon 5, Jonas Brothers, Dead and Company, Van Halen, too many country artists to name, and more have stopped at iThink Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach. Choose closer seats or enjoy and evening on the lawn with your friends!

Kravitz Center – West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach hosts broadway shows and events at the Kravitz. A steep, traditional theatre, located right by City Place and Clematis Street in West Palm Beach, the theatre is a premium spot to see an event.

Carefree Theatre – West Palm Beach

The Carefree in West Palm Beach is no longer open unfortunately.
